ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome) is an incredibly tough and life-threatening lung condition. Tori has been hospitalized in the ICU battling ARDS since March 29, 2023. She is on a ventilator, dialysis, IV nutrition and many IV medications. Her friends call her a warrior. Her family knows that she's a fighter. We believe that Tori is a determined young woman who has the heart to beat this horrible condition.

As Tori continues to battle ARDS, we've received requests from loved ones who wish to help Tori in some way. At the encouragement of her extended family and friends, we've created this fundraiser to assist Tori financially with her bills and medical expenses while she is on the road to recovery. Right now she is considered in critical but stable condition. There have been good and bad days, with each day as fluid as the next. ARDS causes extreme inflammation of the lungs, causing fluid buildup, which also affects the kidneys. Her doctors have been clear that this healing process will include bumps along the road and that it will require many baby steps. We count each day that Tori doesn't regress as a win.

Tori's eventual healing journey will also include intensive rehabilitation therapy along with an extended hospital treatment program. The immediate goal is working toward making sure that her lungs can breathe on their own again and that her kidneys (affected by the fluid buildup and strong medication) can also function on their own again.
