Emergency Cancer Treatment for Rusty
A bit over a year ago a beautiful ginger tomcat walked boldly into our lives through a feline rescue group that we had been involved with. We decided to adopt this 5 year old cat and called him Rusty. He’s become a beautiful member of our family, and we’ve been so happy to have him be part of our lives.
Last week we noticed a strange lump on his ankle so we brought him to the vet to have it looked at. Today we received the call that our beautiful boy has a very aggressive and fast growing cancer. Our only hope for treatment is amputation of the affected limb as soon as possible before the disease spreads to parts of his body that we can’t treat.
That leaves me here. I’m a university student struggling to pay rent and tuition, and this surgery will be more than I can afford on my own, so I’m asking for the help of strangers to help me give this beautiful boy a chance.
