This is something i never would have thought I would have too write . My heart is heavy as I’m writing this . My best friends mom, Jerri Goettler was diagnosed March 2, 2020 with stage 4 lung cancer this past month to top off the loss of her husband bob just a little over a year ago , February 7, 2019 to be exact . 

Starting in Late October early November  Jerri got really sick with pneumonia, she had started feeling a little bit better and then was rushed to the hospital in December for a stroke , Jerri has had heart problems and had a pacemaker put in .  She just can’t seem to catch a break and her daughter Lorie Goettler has now been taking care of her full time which has been equally as hard on her now , she isn’t able to work and has put her EMT school on hold . Jerri has no medical insurance right now so everything is being paid out of pocket , which is why I’m writing this , Lorie isn’t able to work now that Jerri’s cancer is spreading , and fast , she went from being stage 3 to stage 4 in just a little under a month . Jerri is now on oxygen 24/7 and today was her first radiation , she has lost a considerate amount of weight and is constantly fatigued which isn’t like her considering she was always like the energizer bunny . Jerri’s meds cost over $400 a month out of pocket,and it seems almost impossible to catch up , with paying medical bills and for medications they are also falling behind on other bills . Lorie also fears that this could take a turn for the worst and she isn’t prepared for it to turn out that way, just like anyone isnt . The money raised will be strictly used for Jerri , her prescriptions and medical bills ... I don’t want to say that it would be used for a funeral but sadly the future isn’t predicted , and there are a lot of unanswered questions as to what can come out of this . If you could spare even $5 it would help more than you know , and if you can’t donate at this time please share this to get the word out . Lorie and Jerri have always been family to me and have touched a lot of people . They both took me in and had taken care of me when I had no where to go . They would do anything for anyone without hesitation and this hits home for me really hard . I love these two with all my heart and i hope this could help ease their minds a little bit as for the future is so unpredictable .
