Diane's Memorial Fund
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations for children aging out of foster care in memory of Diane.
Diane Marie DeClerck (Fredal), age 61, passed away Wednesday, July 14th, 2021.
She was born the 6th of 10 children on July 28th, 1959. Diane was greeted in Heaven by her beloved parents, Ronald and Maxine Fredal and first grandson, Gavin Otten.
Diane was a firecracker from childhood to her last day. She was always the life of the party, quick witted and sarcastic, and she never took life too seriously. Her humor and laughter was contagious and memorable. Her soul was iridescent.
Diane had a knack for creativity and enjoyed doing stained glass, painting, and art projects, among other things. From radio show host to lead gallery host, she was passionate about connecting with those around her and making them smile.
When faced with adversity, Diane never let others see her sweat. She was a pillar of strength and courage, overcoming anything life threw her way. Demonstrating to her children that they, too, are capable of doing hard things.
Diane’s children, Emily, Elyse (James), Craig, feel immeasurably fortunate to have had the world’s best mom. Diane modeled kindness, self-love, independence, empathy, and unconditional love to her children. Diane was also loved dearly by Mike DeClerck, father of her children.
Diane’s pride and joy were her seven grandchildren Gavin, Hunter, Noah, Ella, Sawyer, Jaxson, and Charlotte. They will forever carry cherished memories of the times spent with Grandma/Memaw on vacations, birthday dates, making gingerbread houses, obstacle courses, arts and crafts, snuggles, and much more.
In handwritten notes found shortly after her passing, Diane expressed her gratitude and infinite love for her nine brothers and sisters; Greg (Helen), Christine (Chuck), Paul (Michelle), Karen, Kathy (Jerry), John, Joyce (Jim), Jackie, Ben (Jen) (Beth). Diane was also beloved by her many nieces and nephews.
“Think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched...For nothing loved is ever lost, and she was loved so much”.
