Phyllis Chambers New House

Donation protected

This afternoon (11/24/15) Phyllis Chambers & Chambers Farm suffered a devastating fire.   Phyllis lost her home and all her possessions (including all the family’s locally raised meat that was for sale).  Sadly, this is the second time fire has taken Phyllis's home from her.   Fifteen years ago Phyllis's first home was struck by lighting and burned to the ground.  Phyllis is the most selfless person you will ever meet.  She's always doing for others, and not a day goes by that she doesn't have a smile on her face.  Chambers Farm is where family and friends gather; whether it is for a holiday, or donut day each Friday.  Phyllis's family is raising money to build her a new home where she can resume her traditions.

Not only did Phyllis lose her home, but she lost the family shop where her son and grandson did all the work on the farm equipment.

Phyllis is 82 years old.  She has six biological children and two adopted children.   She has 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  Phyllis and her family have been farming in North Clarendon since 1971.  It was only one week ago that Phyllis stopped milking cows with her son, Andy.

The family appreciates each and every donation.  No donation is too small.  As a longtime, native farmer Phyllis has always given back to her community, no matter what the event.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!
