On Tuesday, February 7th, 2022, while Ken was at work, he collapsed. He went to the ER to find he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke which sent him to the ICU. He is now temporarily partially blind with constricted vision due to the bleeding and swelling of his brain. He cannot work, be alone, or drive, and has trouble with some ordinary activities as he continues to heal. For the time being, he is being cared for by his parents and cuddling up with his cat, Boots. While he is stable and doing better, he has a long road ahead of him with many unknowns and medical costs.

His job does not offer health insurance and he was denied Workers' Compensation, on top of being unable to work for the foreseeable future. We are getting together to raise money to help him with any bills from his hospital stay, upcoming doctor's visits, medications, and other accommodations he may need on this journey. Any extra money will go towards his monthly expenses, bills, groceries, and anything else he may need.

Ken is such a selfless and kind person. He'd give you the shirt off his back and his last dollar if you needed it. When you become friends with him, you're family. Let's show him the love he deserves and the humanity he gives to others. Anything and everything will help him out, even if it's just sharing this and a prayer for his fast recovery!
