Our team is made up of all ex king's school students - Eleanor Salter, Mark Redish, Max Bowden, Dan Hart, Oliver Derham and Jasper Forsyth. We will be walking the East Devon Way, Exmouth to Lyme Regis (40miles) in a single day on Saturday, July 18th in order to raise money for Unicef and their work fighting the Yemen Humanitarian Crisis. Currently 80% of Yemen's population are in need of humanitarian aid due to war and lack of food and with Covid-19 as an added pressure, the country is expected to to lose over 10million civilians in the coming months if nothing changes. This is real.
The crisis is something with not nearly enough media coverage despite its severity. It is up to the general population of first world countries like ours to swing the tide on issues like the Yemen Humanitarian Crisis and others simply because no one else will. Social media, for all of the issues it may cause, is taking the place of main stream media where it really matters and it's up to all of us to use platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to do good rather than bad. We ask that if you can't make a donation then please at least share our posts, this is the best way to gain support. All of the money raised goes to Unicef and will help feed, shelter, vaccinate, relocate and educate the lost children of Yemen. Any donation helps but please give generously if you can. Thank you all so much.
