Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts but strong hope as we rally around Miller, a brave 11-year-old boy who is in the fight of his life. On July 6, Miller participated in a fun run with his family. Two days later he complained of leg pain and was taken to see his pediatrician. After X-rays, an MRI, and bone biopsies, the family received devastating news, Miller has Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.
Miller is a bright, funny kid who loves playing baseball, goofing around with friends, performing with his school choir, and watching the New York Yankees! His laughter and spirit light up our lives, and we know he has the strength to overcome this illness. However, the road ahead is long and challenging, with treatments, hospital visits, and the emotional toll that comes with it.
Miller’s treatment plan is necessary but brutal and requires frequent hospital stays. He has 11 weeks of chemotherapy, followed by radiation to shrink the tumor, surgery to remove it, and then another 22 weeks of chemotherapy.
Ashley, Miller’s mom, has a limited amount of unpaid leave available. We are asking for your support to help cover the mounting medical expenses, including chemotherapy, hospital stays, medications, and other necessary treatments. Additionally, the cost of travel, time off work for both parents, and other unforeseen expenses have and will continue to put a significant strain on their family.
Your generosity will not only help alleviate the financial burden but also give Miller the best possible chance to beat this disease.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to giving Miller the care he needs. We are eternally grateful for your kindness, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Together, we can help Miller get back to being the happy, healthy child we all know and love.
We are determined to fight this battle with EVERYTHING we have. Thank you for standing with us in this fight.
*Additional updates will be posted periodically for those interested in Miller’s journey.*
