RPGC - Captain’s 99-Hole Charity Challenge

Hi everyone,

We’re Jack, the PGA Professional at Ramsdale Park, and Daryl, the 2025 Club Captain. This year on the 17th June, we’re taking on a major fundraising challenge to support two brilliant causes: Emmanuel House and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, the official charities of Ramsdale Park Golf Club for 2025.

For our fundraising challenge, we’ll be attempting to complete 99 holes of golf in a single day!

That’s 5.5 full rounds, covering around 30 miles on foot, hitting roughly 450 shots each, and spending up to 18 hours on the course — all in one day. It’s going to be a huge physical and mental test, but it's nothing compared to the daily challenges faced by those we’re trying to help.

Nottingham is currently facing an incredible homelessness crisis, with more and more people struggling to find safe shelter and support. Emmanuel House is a vital local charity working right at the heart of this issue, helping homeless and vulnerable adults rebuild their lives through practical support, accommodation, and care.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is another cause that is extremely close to our hearts — and especially close to our Ladies' Captain, for whom cystic fibrosis has had a profound impact on her family, and particularly her youngest son, Michael, who bravely fights this illness every single day. The Trust funds life-changing research, provides emotional and practical support, and fights tirelessly to improve the lives of people living with this challenging condition.

Every penny we raise will go directly toward funding essential services — from providing emergency shelter, meals, and advice through Emmanuel House, to helping advance vital treatments and offer real hope to families affected by cystic fibrosis.

We’re pushing ourselves to the limit with this challenge because we believe these two causes deserve everything we can give — and we are incredibly grateful for all your support and generosity.
