Bobby - Service Dog in Training

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Kelly. I have had 3 Standard Poodle Service Dogs since 2002 until 2023 - Cooper, Emmett and Dayton. They all came from an organization that owned them which meant their training fees were covered by the organization. I was responsible for paying all their medical expenses, food expenses, etc., even though they were never legally mine.

I am training Bobby, my successor Service Dog and in order to pay for his full training, I must raise the funds myself.

Fees include: (1) Day school program, (2) Skills Trainer, (3) Medical checks (incident x-rays to rule out hip dysplasia as well as neutering and microchip), (4) skills testing) and much more.

Bobby is currently learning his role as my Service Dog. As I receive government support, I am required to provide proof (I have attached the requirements for those on ODSP below) that he has legal ID, registration as a Service Dog, a harness that names the organization under which I am training him as well as trainer service fees.

The requirements for this proof is:
* a dog that has been trained and certified by an accredited facility for use as a guide, hearing or service dog
* verification of certification from an accredited training facility is required
*a "an accredited facility" means a facility that meets the minimum standards established by Assistance Dogs International and that is a member of Assistance Dogs International

Since 2002, I have had great independence having a Service Dog. This past year since my 3rd Service Dog passed away has been very difficult without that independence my Standard Poodles have given to me.

I am Deaf, an incomplete quadriplegic, low vision (legally blind) and I also have juvenile onset Stills Disease that limits my mobility. I use a power chair for mobility.

My previous Service Dogs have been trained to:
*assist me to get dressed
*pick things up for me from the floor
*open doors
*fetch items for me from dressers, closets, cabinets, etc.
*use power button doors to enter and exit buildings ✅
*assist me to safely cross streets and to know where the sidewalk is so I can drive my power chair safely ✅
*and so much more.

✅ Represents skills Bobby is learning and successfully doing.
My Service Dog is my arms and my legs.

Bobby is being trained to do the same.

In order to pay for his training fees, paperwork, official ID and vest, I am reaching out to ask for help.
