Help My Dad Beat Cancer
Donation protected
This is to help my dad Rick Theriault and my mom Kathy fight the crippling financial cost of fighting my dad's grade 4 glioblastoma, which is already over a hundred thousand dollars just over a month from the initial diagnosis on Monday July 8th, 2018. with a ways to go. My Dad worked in a paper mill for over 20 years, eventually when the mills were closed, he went back to school and for business management. Loving the outdoors, hard work, and helping others - he got a job at Trugreen helping make people's lawn more beautiful. My dad enjoys hiking, playing guitar, Indiana Jones, star wars and Monty Python. He taught me how to build my first computer. My dad is the greatest source of inspiration in my life. My dad does not smoke (never has), rarely drinks, and eats a keto diet (all doctors said he was in exceptional health for his age of 55). His whole life, he has carried the weight of the world on his shoulders, insisting that if you work hard enough, help others, and stay positive. Things will work out. . . They did not. My dad was diagnosed with a brain tumor the day after father's day, July 18th 2018. It was the size of a clementine. Brain surgery was performed less than a week later. They were able to use state of the art medical technology to get over 90% of it. The biopsy results showed it was grade 4 glioblastoma. Before even finishing the first round of chemo and radiation the bills are at over a hundred thousand dollars. More bills roll in daily. There are going to be more rounds of chemo and radiation. The chemo is in pill form so that much can be done at home and my parents need all the help they can get to stay afloat in an ocean of medical debt. My dad cannot work for Trugreen as it requires driving, and heavy lifting. My mom has had to take off to arrange transportation to appointments and such.
Please help my Dad.
