1 week from today my cousins husband Joe, woke up with a fever and feeling unlike himself. He decided to get checked at a local hospital where he learned his white blood count was a little over 1. Doctors immediately transferred him to Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem for additional testing. Unfortunately after a few days of fluids, a bone biopsy and additional tests his worse fear was confirmed. He had an aggressive form of acute leukemia. He started two different chemo drugs simultaneously yesterday and accepted to fight this deadly disease with faith, courage and hope. At this time, doctors are saying he will be in the hospital for 4-8 weeks which means he nor my cousin Heather will be working. With 3 kids at home ranging from Kindergarten to 11th grade, any monetary donation would assist with their day to day care, medical bills, etc. Please join me in supporting this wonderful husband, father and friend as he embarks on one of the most difficult journeys of his life.
