Let’s Get Alex Dancing Again!

Donation protected
Just a little over a month ago, Alex Kalscheur put on quite the performance at his sister Olivia’s wedding, singing and dancing to Tom Jones’ “It’s Not Unusual”.

Last Friday, Alex fell 30 feet  while hiking in the French Alps. Miraculously, he survived but was not unscathed. Alex fractured his 9th and 12th vertebrae. He is currently at a hospital in Grenoble, France. At this point, he is able to move his upper body and upper legs, but only time will tell if he will fully recover.

Our goal is to get Alex home as soon as he is cleared to fly so he can be with his family during his long term rehabilitation.  This is proving to be somewhat complicated as at this point he is required to be flat on his back. Getting him from Grenoble to Paris is a four hour train ride. In addition, he will be required to have a nurse fly with him. Once home, he will have to be transported to a rehabilitation facility.

Getting Alex home is the first step. The next hurdle will be rehab where he will need to learn to walk and recover from his injuries.

So many have reached out wanting to help. PRAYING  is the most important thing anyone can do. After prayer, financial assistance is needed for flights, transportations, medical staff, medical expenses, rehabilitation expenses...the list goes on and on.

We need Alex to be ready to perform once again next August at his big brother Joe’s wedding!

Thank you you so much for all your thoughts, prayers and generosity.
