In my infinite wisdom, at the beginning of 2020, I decided this was the year I'd run a marathon. I signed up for The County Marathon (because I heard the course was flat and they give you beer and chili at the end). But of course it was cancelled due to covid. So I decided I would still run it on my own, because, Screw you, Covid. On Saturday October 24th, I am running 42km. I am running in memory of my sweet, funny, amazing Uncle Gil who would have told me that I'm f@#$king crazy for doing it and supported me anyway. In honour of my Uncle Gil, I'm raising money to benefit CANADIAN TIRE JUMPSTART CHARITIES/OEUVRE BON DEPART DE CANADIAN TIRE, a charity that helps kids with limited means play the sports they love, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. Also, if you're local and want to cheer me on at some point during the run (because I can use all the encouragement I can get) private message me and I'll let you know the route.
