Hi! Many of you already know this sweet little guy, he is my heart and soul. June 24 he decided to eat some pieces of a rubber “chuckit” ball and found himself in a lot of trouble the next day. Long story short he had a CT scan that showed a partial obstruction that had to be operated on. there was a large piece in his stomach that they removed and another large piece lodged in him small intestine. They ended up having to remove about 3 inches of his small intestine as the intestinal wall was very thin and close to rupture. The emergency surgery was Canada day and he just came home this morning. He is doing very well (has eaten a tiny but and did poop yesterday for the vet techs…never thought I’d be so happy for a poop LOL). We have insurance but unfortunately is is already used up for the Lipoma removal and teeth cleaning/extraction at the end of May.

I can provide receipts if anyone would like but at this point I am into it for quite a bit of money. There were a lot of costs that happened prior to discovering the root cause of his gut issues (presented as diarrhea, nausea which isn’t totally out of the ordinary for him). I’m embarrassed to admit I spent so much but in the end I just couldn’t put him down for something that could be fixed. Everything went onto the credit card so I am hoping I don’t have to pay too much interest.

This guy has been such a fighter I couldn’t give up. July 2023 he came back from a spinal cord stroke (non-surgical, aggressive physical therapy and acupuncture). He is my bestie and has been with through thick and thin. He is 10 yrs old but super healthy and active, again I couldn’t justify putting him down.
