Last hope rescue has been running well over 10 years. It's main focus is on rescuing dogs and ensuring they live out their lives in a safe and healthy.
Last hope has saved the lives of many dogs from the pound on death row, rescued dogs from high profile abuse cases, dogs being used for breeding, abandoned dogs left in a home when owners moved on, pregnant mummas where in some cases pups have been hand reared. Last hope have taken in larger breeds and dogs with a lot of issues that nobody else would take.
All Last hope dogs are health checked as soon as they arrive under the safety of Last hope, they are vaccinated, provided with any medical support and medication and are always neutered/spayed before adoption can go ahead along with any rehabilitation. This comes at a cost and recently there has been a raise in poorly dogs coming to us, these have all received emergency medical attention and in some admitted to the vets.
Most recently we have had 2 pregnant mummas come to Last hope, one who went into labour almost straight away, she needed an emergency cesarean and emergency blood transfusion, the other pregnant mumma started having seizures and was admitted to vets. The pups have been quite poorly in their short 2 weeks they've been here, needing antibiotics and emergency intervention, only a couple of days ago, 2 pups were emergencyrushed to vets and admitted. This has left us in debt with medical bills that went up over £10k the founder has paid £5k off from her own pocket and we have £100 from donations from very kind generous followers of Last hope rescue. However, we are still in desperate need to raise £6k to cover the remaining costs which are still rising.
