Hi, my name is Monique Mullings, and I’m an active-duty U.S. Navy sailor living in Norfolk, Virginia.

My family and neighbors in Jamaica were devastated by Hurricane Melissa. Roofs were ripped away, homes destroyed, and entire communities cut off. There’s no running water, no electricity, and many roads are still blocked, making it almost impossible for families to get help.

Many parents can’t afford to feed their children, they’ve lost everything, including their homes. Some are left with only the clothes on their backs, not knowing where their next meal will come from.

I’m raising funds to send relief barrels filled with food, diapers, baby formula, children’s clothing, hygiene items, and over-the-counter medicine directly to those in need. Each barrel costs about $600 to fill and $150 to ship.

Every $750 raised sends one fully packed relief barrel to families in need.

Each one includes canned food, rice, flour, baby formula, diapers, wipes, hygiene items, vitamins, pain relievers, and other essentials to help families survive and start rebuilding.

Even the smallest donation helps — $10 can feed a family or buy medicine for a child.
