I’m starting this GoFundMe for my amazing mom. She’s a single mother of four, currently enrolled in nursing school, and working part-time as a cleaner to support her family. Her schedule is nonstop—she balances schoolwork while the kids are at school and picks up cleaning jobs when she can, usually twice a week at most.

She’s doing everything she possibly can, but the cost of living right now is just overwhelming. Even though she received a small grant and applied for a loan through her school, there have been several delays and issues with the funds. Meanwhile, the bills don’t stop coming.

My husband and I help with the kids as much as we can, but we both work full-time and aren’t always able to be there every day. She’s under an enormous amount of pressure and has broken down in tears more than once just trying to keep everything going. It’s heartbreaking to watch, especially knowing how hard she’s working for a better future.

She doesn’t know I’m creating this. Her pride has kept her from asking for help or starting something like this herself—but I know how much even a little support could help her breathe. I just want her to be able to focus on school without constantly worrying about rent, groceries, or gas. She deserves that much.
