Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this!

Last Thursday, February 11th our Dad (David Bush) had a scheduled surgery to have a pace maker put in to replace the defibrillator he had. The pace maker provides 3 leads to his heart where the defibrillator only had one. This will hopefully help his heart beat more regular instead of too fast or too slow. He was released from St. Mary's Hospital last Friday and went home with his favorite daughter to the cities so she could help take care of him for the first week post-surgery.

As if recovering from surgery wasn't enough to deal with, on Tuesday, February 16th we got the call from the Austin Police Deparment that our Dad's house had burned down. The cause of the fire is still under investigation but initial reports are saying it was caused by some electrical wiring. Our Dad's dog died from smoke inhalation and the Fire Department is saying from what they can tell it is a total loss. To make matters even more devastating, there was no insurance on the house. As you can imagine, this has been terribly difficult for our entire family. This was the house our grandparents bought in 1957 and our Dad and all his siblings grew up there. The emotional attachment coupled with the loss of all of his life's posessions has proven to be very hard to deal with.

Our Dad is one of the most giving, caring (albeit a little stubborn) people we have ever known and he has spent his life putting others before himself and now he needs us, all of you out there, to help him.

Any contributions are greatly appreciated and will be used to replace everyday household items, clothing, food and furniture.
