Shane Davis (29) was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and is currently fighting his cancer through Chemotherapy treatment.
I decided to create a GoFund me to benefit Shane and I in covering the costs of medical treatments and lifestyle changes over the next several months.
A background story on us:
Shane and I (Kaylyn) met in college and were married 5 years ago. Last year we moved from Seattle area to a small town in Wisconsin, bought our first home, got new jobs, and love spending time with our family and dogs. Shane works hard & as a civil Engineer, has a kind heart, quietly serves others, and always looks for the best in others.
As some of you may know, our last year being in our 20s has also been a rough year for us medical wise. In June we went through an IVF procedure in attempts to have children after years of infertility. The results were sadly unsuccessful and we were crushed when we learned we would not have children together in this life. We changed route and started preparing ourselves in July for becoming foster parents with hopes to adopt children soon. However in August, Shane had a lump show up on his neck that raised some concern. After many tests, a PET scan and surgically removing his lymphnode for biopsy, it was discovered Shane has Hodgkins Lymphoma, a cancer of the Lymph system.
Obviously we were devastated by the life changing news…Cancer in your 20’s???? But we feel full of faith during this time that Shane will one day be healed from his Cancer. Through this trial we have become closer to each other, our family, friends, and put all our trust in our Heavenly Father. Shane has had an amazing attitude with optimism for the future. We will get through this and it will turn for our good!!!
We are so grateful for family and friends who have went out of their way to support and love us during this difficult time. We are just is awe of how prayers and compassion can heal Brocken hearts. Thank you for your support!!!
