Donation protected
Ariann has been a fighter since her earliest days. As an infant she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer which ultimately affected her vision. Thankfully treatment, including radiation therapy, drove the cancer out her body. Ariann would spend her childhood and adult years having to bare the scars of her childhood.
This week Ariann learned that a side effect of the radiation she received as a child had presented itself on her brain. A condition called cavernous malformation. This condition causes abnormal clusters of blood vessels. As the vessels bleed the clusters grow larger in size. Left untreated, the condition can result in seizures, loss of vision and balance as well as nerve damage similar to that of a stroke.
Ariann will be undergoing brain surgery in the next few days out in Boston in order to reduce the cluster and stop the bleeding.
Ariann is an Emergency 911 Dispatch Supervisor for the City of Worcester for the last ten years. She proudly serves and helps protect the citizens of the city each day. She is a devoted single mom and holds her son and family extremely close to her heart. Ariann will be missing a significant amount of time from work as she recovers.
We want to help her defer some of the costs that she will inevitably incur from medical bills, child care and missed time from work
Please help us guide and support Ariann through this rough patch she is navigating. Thank you for your support!
