Kelly Davenport was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in October 2015. Due to the aggressive nature of the tumor, Kelly will immediately begin radiation treatments throughout the next month followed by an extended chemotherapy treatment.
The diagnosis came without much warning, leaving little time to prepare for what is to come. Currently, Kelly is only able to work occasionally and unable to drive. (Thankfully, her wonderful friends and family have volunteered their time to get her where she needs to go.) The cost of treatments, medication, and daily commutes to the treatment center in Des Moines are burdens Kelly and Kent need not worry about. The focus needs to be on Kelly’s recovery.
