It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loved son and brother, Rodney Ross of Indianapolis, Indiana, who left us too soon on December 31, 2024. Rod was a talented artist and visionary. At just 67, he had already touched so many lives and left us with so many unique and wonderful memories.

Rod was a fan of Rodney Dangerfield. If Dangerfield were here today, this is what he might say about our Rodney...

"Friends and family, we lost a true original. You know Rod - he looked at the world sideways, but hey, at least somebody appreciated it! His brain was like a steel trap (with rust stains), and when he started talking, people's heads would tilt like confused puppies. Sure, he was smart - probably too smart for his own good - and his memory? The guy could remember what you had for lunch three years ago but couldn't find his keys in his own hand. His loved ones knew the deal - when Rod got going, you'd either learn something amazing or end up scratching your head for a week. Either way, you got your money's worth!...No respect, I tell ya, no respect at all... except from the ones who got him. They got the bargain of a lifetime!"

Our family is now facing the unimaginable task of saying goodbye to our "Number 1 Son" and "Big Brother" while dealing with funeral and unexpected expenses.

We're collecting funds to cover the expenses and to create a memorial celebration that would make Rod proud (and probably make him roll his eyes). Your contribution, of any size, will help us honor this remarkable man who taught us all to see the world a little differently - whether we were ready for it or not.
