I want to truly thank those who were able to donate and I've tried to make it last as long as i could, but I'm still weeks from a decision/payment from Aflac and at least 4-6 weeks away from returning to even part-time status at work. Any help is appreciated, even if all you can do is share the link. Thank you again to any who can or already have helped. Here's the full update... all documents have finally been submitted, after several weeks of back and forth with Aflac and my company's HR person for this stuff. The HR person kept claiming the paperwork was sent and aflac kept saying it wasnt received. Finally, after 3 weeks of this, I had my company send me the paperwork to upload myself, only for Aflac to point out that it was not only filled out incorrectly but also missing information. With everything submitted now I should have a decision within the next week. Then another week until I see any kind of payment. Medical bills, regular bills, and food needs continue to accrue in the meantime.
With great humility I am asking for help. My accident in November left me without an income stream. My employer promised to pay me for a couple weeks while the CT Paid Leave paperwork was being processed. They did. However they cut manual checks rather than direct deposit and mailed them out. Sadly the checks never arrived and I am still waiting on my doc's office to finish their end of my paperwork for paid leave. Turnaround time on replacement paychecks with my company is abysmal, at least 10 business days to cut the checks and then I have to hope they show up this time. I've done the math and $1500 should be enough to carry me through the next 2-3 weeks as well as the co-pay6 for the 2 PT and 2 OT appointments i have every week right now.
