Update March 25/2026

As of now, most people know I am still stage 3 non small cell lung cancer with pulmonary hypertension and still currently on daily oral chemo and now have a healthy 3 month old baby girl! I still recieve routine tests every 3 months to check my progress. I am beyond grateful for my family support, Ontario home at health, and my pregnancy and family centre's and community and indigenous supports ❤️. Still a long journey ahead but let's keeo looking up.

Update( Aug 24th/25)

Since ive been diagnosed ive went from stage 4 to stage 3 non small cell lung cancer with pulmonary hypertension which is now controlled and two blood clots . Ive been in and out of hospital, 3 hospital and even a helicopter ride to find out I was almost on my death bed. Fast forward to now, ive been home a week, have had 2 days of appointments that say my tumor has shrunk 40% in 2 weeks and that I can possibly deliver at full term which was barely hopeful before. Keep the prayers coming and hopefully I can stay out of hospital. Thanks.

Hi my name is Sarah bloom, as most of my close friends know I was recently diagnosed with lung cancer stage 3 and stage 4 and had to go off work indefinitely and treatment is medication that is very costly that we are trying to get government funding for as well as I require oxygen at home as I can barely walk around without being short of breath. The travels back and forth to kingston and mom taking time off work makes a financial impact.
