Have you ever seen a sadder, more malnourished and defeated looking cat. That's me...Sam.

This is what cats look like when they have been abandoned and left to fend for themselves without

survival skills, shelter or anyone who cares. I started my life in a home with people I trusted to

take care of me. They raised me from a kitten but in all that time I never saw a vet. I was

allowed to be indoor/outdoor (probably because once I matured and still not neutered I was

pretty stinky) and I roamed around outside, but never too far. I knew where my warm house

was and food, everything I ever wanted. But one day my people just up and moved. They

were gone and I was left behind, not invited to go along - I have the feeling that I was now an

inconvenience and they stopped caring for me. So I found myself going from door to door

begging for food and finding shelter from the wind and rain under muddy decks and sometimes garden sheds. Over time I became frightened of noises and sudden movements because I had been a target for predators and people. No one wanted me around and my heart

was broken. Life was a daily struggle. Finally after eight long, cold winters I felt I had had

enough and started to stick around one house in particular. The nice lady there fed me daily

and although I did not have proper shelter, my food and water dishes were in a covered box to

keep the snow out. I knew I was in poor health and would not survive the winter. Finally a

young woman took note of me and I was enticed into a humane trap and brought into Pet

Patrol care. They recognized my need to be seen by the vet and good nutrition was needed

as well. I am underweight, matted, have ear mites, scratches on my skin, an eye infection and

a mouth full of bad teeth. I am a mess. I am hoping that Pet Patrol will be able to give me all

the care I need to be a happy and healthy cat again, and be able to live out my years in comfort and with love. Would you be able to donate to my recovery campaign as it will make me
