My name is Sania, I was born and raised in Jamaica, currently living in Canada. I am the daughter/cousin /friend and niece of those directly affected by Hurricane Melissa. I’m raising funds to support my family and the community where I grew up — Westmoreland, Jamaica.

When Hurricane Melissa tore through our small district, it left behind unimaginable devastation. My family — my mom, aunt, uncle, and cousins — lost everything: our home, our belongings, and the memories we built over the years. Sadly, we are not alone. Our entire community has been deeply affected, with many families now displaced and struggling to rebuild their lives.

I started this GoFundMe not only to help my family but also to support our neighbors who are suffering. Together, we can help restore hope, dignity, and stability to everyone impacted by this disaster.

With the funds raised, I will personally purchase and deliver essential relief supplies requested by those affected. Many of these items are currently unavailable in Jamaica, so I’ll be sourcing them abroad and bringing them directly to the community.
