Please help us care for Callie. Our mama needs your help.
Much appreciation,

Growing up with a strong, independent mom was something we knew was real but took for granted. We never understood the determination required to go to work every day to earn a paycheck to feed her children because it was something she made look effortless. We never knew what it was like to not have a roof over our heads or clothes on our backs because we always had what we needed. She went without so we'd have plenty. She did more so we worried less. She never complained so we didn't know her worries. She cried in the dark so we didn't fear.
And now our biggest fears have become a reality. Mom has a fight on her hands. She has the determination to win! She is strong and has the will to do what she needs to. But she will need our help to pray, motivate and keep her going. The biggest burden for her fight is the financial strain that it will put on her and dad.
In February 2010, mom was diagnosed with lung cancer and had a third of her right lung removed. For 10 years, she was continuously monitored and remained cancer free. Or so we though. A few months ago, she started to have headaches on the left side of her head. After my sister pressed for her to get a scan, they found that she had a brain tumor. She endured 5 hour brain surgery to remove the tumor. The pathology report revealed that the tumor was cancer that spread from her lung to her brain. So many prayers from friends and family and God's good grace, not only helped her through the surgery but also got her back into the comfort of her own home in just a day. Once again proving the strength and determination within her! She now needs to do a radiation treatment and possible other treatments to keep things at bay. She'll have many trips back and forth to doctor appointments as well as a multitude of bills from doctors and procedures. That's where we need some help. Her health insurance will cover some of the costs but not all of it. The medical bills are already coming in.They'll need fuel for the car to go back and forth to Syracuse as well. We do not have a complete total cost to date but know that the bill for her surgery and hospital stay alone is already over $30,000.00 after insurance!
Please consider donating to help cover some of the expenses & ease the financial burden. Your help will free her mind to focus on the fight she needs to win.
Thank you for your support and continued prayers. It means the world to us.
Sincerely,
Stacy and Nicole
