Hi! My name is Kaiya Hirai.
This page is to ask for your help, but I would like to tell you a little about myself first.
My family and I live in Costa Rica serving as Christian missionaries (parent's blog ) - working as pastors and serving an orphanage ministry. We moved to Costa Rica about four years ago, looking to escape the stress of the U.S.A. Soon we realized we were called to missionary work here, and began serving any way we could. Recently, my parents, have taken on the role of pastors for the Casa de Pan International church in Manuel Antonio.
My personal ministry involves serving as the music leader at the church and playing for two other bible studies in the week. Also, I am a leader in a Youth Group called Young Life; I was one of the first leaders to open a club in my community. I am currently attending an online high school program called Monarch along with two of my four other siblings.
Recently, I learned about a summer camp called Emerging Sound. The Emerging Sound Camp is an exclusive Christian songwriting camp for creative teens and young adults. Their mission is to "train and equip the next generation of songwriters and worshippers". I applied and have been accepted to this amazing camp, but I need help financially for travel and the cost to attend. Going to this camp would help me expand my knowledge for leading worship in my church and help me minister to the congregation. Here in Costa Rica, I play music frequently, but going to this camp gives me the opportunity to learn from others who are passionate about worship and have wisdom and knowledge to share that I don't receive here in CR.
