UPDATE FROM TAYLOR:
"Update for some people who I know have been asking
My pops is on the up and up. There were some scary start and stop moments last week and it took until today to finally get his breathing tube removed, but he's awake, breathing on his own and his mouth is free of obstruction for the first time in two weeks!

Words won't suffice. You have all been too kind to me and my family. The outpouring of love, the generosity and kindness we have experienced this week has been so meaningful and important to helping everyone get through this. Thank you so much. Everyone. My pops is gonna be in the hospital for at least another week, but he's gonna make it through.

Love love love to all of you."

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to visit this GoFundMe. My name is Agustina and I have been a close friend of Melanie's and the entire Bishop family for many years. I have created this page on behalf of the Bishop family in the hopes of assisting Greg and his family during these difficult times. Please read more below from his daughter Mel:

"Anyone who has had the pleasure of knowing my dad Greg knows he is a man with a big personality, tremendous presence, and heart of gold- always willing to jump in and lend a hand when needed. He has an unwavering passion for his family, friends, football and food. Two and a half years ago Greg was the recipient of a new liver after being diagnosed with an auto-immune liver disease. Since his liver transplant, he has had a new lease on life- cheering on the Chargers, working hard as the head chef at The French Table and spending every weekend with the apple of his eye, his grandson Cohen.
On Sunday March 24th, Greg suffered a massive heart attack requiring two stents and has been fighting hard in the cardiac intensive care unit at VGH. Greg’s recovery has not been a smooth one- on top of recovering from his heart attack, his body has also been fighting off a blood infection and pneumonia. Greg has been surrounded by his family and under the close, watchful eye of the amazing nurses and doctors at VGH. Due to the multi-faceted challenges, we are anticipating that Greg will have a long road of recovery in hospital ahead of him.
Whether you know my dad from his time living in Thunder Bay, have acted or played music along side him on the stage, or have worked with him in a kitchen- you know Greg is strong, stubborn, and has a lot of life left to live. On behalf of my dad and our family, we are so grateful for all the support from those near and far to help see him through this recovery."

All donations will go directly to the Bishop family to help cover Greg's living expenses while he recovers in the hospital. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
