Help Johnny's recovery & quality of life after bad accident.

Hi, this fund is set up on behalf of Johnny, by his family and friends. Funds raised will be used for a Saros modular chair with electric functions and leg cushions/wedges that will aid in Johnny's quality of life, comfort and continuing recovery. Any surplus funds will be used towards Johnny's care and any new equipment to aid his recovery.
As some may know, Johnny had a bad accident in his lorry on January 4th 2023. After being cut out the cab of his lorry, Johnny was airlifted to Middlesbrough hospital where he was given life saving surgery for a bleed on the brain, internal bleeding in the abdomen and broken legs, this is to name just a few of his horrific injuries. After surgery Johnny remained in a coma for a number of weeks, he woke and although still critical was able to talk and things looked positive. He was moved to Addenbrookes where he had further complications with his brain and fluid build up. This led to catastrophic brain damage and Johnny remained in a semi-conscious state for nearly a year and no longer spoke or interacted. In that year he has had pneumonia, sepsis and goodness knows how many chest infections and at times he has been fighting for his life. But Johhny never gave up, so I will fast forward a little and Johnny is becoming something of a miracle. He is now emerging from his semi conscious state and living in a brilliant neuro centre. He is trying to talk and communicate and has regained some movement in his hands and upper body.
That said Johnny's recovery and rehabilitation is a long road and he will be bed/chair bound for the foreseeable future. This is where any help you can give, will improve his quality of life and aid his recovery. We are raising funds for a Saros modular chair. Just sitting in a normal wheelchair can be uncomfortable and tiring for Johnny and this hinders his physio and speech therapy. This Chair would be designed specifically for Johnny and would offer his body complete support and relaxation which will aid in keeping him more alert and therefore more able to completely benefit from his therapies. This in turn will hopefully help towards having a talking valve or his main goal to have his trackie completely removed. The chair is also designed to aid in the prevention of pressure sores, which he is prone to ,due to being bed/chair bound. Unfortunately this chair is not funded by the NHS hence this fundraiser.
Johnny before the accident was a very hard-working, charismatic, do anything to help people, full of life, cheeky lorry driver and had a passion for all things lorry! He loved to sing and listen to music of all kinds especially country music which was and still is his favourite to listen to. To see him in action go to truckers got talent on Facebook and search johnny Watson ! His other love is his son Jj who has been so amazingly brave throughout Johnny's journey and however scared he has been he has been there to hug his daddy. Johnnys family have been through hell and back the last few years and have been unwavering in their support for Johnny and his son
JJ. Johhny is now coming back to us all and becoming the cheeky, larger than life character who you can't help but love. He loves giving his carers cheeky winks and flashing massive Johhny boy grins at them. He mouths words and loves a joke.
Johnny's recovery I'm sure will continue upwards now, as his determination is evident. Thank you for reading and any donation you can offer will be massively appreciated.
