95th Birthday For A Grand Old Lady

Please join me in wishing the Palace Theatre in historic Marlin, Texas, a very happy 95th birthday!

The board of directors of the Palace Theatre is asking for your help. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, all scheduled events at the Palace Theatre have been canceled for the 2020 calendar year. Without events to generate income, the theater has no means of support to cover the cost of utility bills and insurance payments.

Built in 1925, and adopted by the Palace Theatre nonprofit in the early 1980s, the theater has been home to everything from silent movies and Vaudeville acts to modern stage plays and live music events.

The Palace Theatre Mission Statement: To preserve and operate the historic Palace Theatre as a performing arts center and community gathering place while enhancing the City of Marlin's cultural and economic development.
