Hi Temple Sholom Preschool Families. As you know, earlier this week a very bad storm ripped through our area and left a trail of damage. Among one of the families affected was our very own Miss Heather. A tree branch broke and fell into her family's house and landed in the living room. Luckily, Heather, her husband Jim and daughter Lilli as well as their dog, were unharmed. However, the house sustained significant damage.
Anyone who has been a part of our preschool community knows Miss Heather. Many days, she is the first face your child sees as they come into school when she walks them back to the classroom. She ALWAYS has a smile on her face regardless of how she is feeling. She has the ability to make each child feel special. She loves our kids fiercely and treats them as she would her own. She gives everything she has to this school and the children. Her lessons and art projects are the talk of the school and she is always willing to lend whatever help she can to anyone who needs it. Our community would not be the same without her and we are so fortunate to have her.
Heather's daughter Kira started working this past year in the preschool with the young toddlers. She knows each one of their unique personalities. With her incredible patience and attention to detail, the children adore and love her which is evident in any interaction between them. And the fact that she is great at doing their hair is a bonus! Heather’s other daughter Lilli has spent many of her days off from middle school helping out in the classrooms. This summer she was a full-time employee for the first time during camp!
Mr. Jim, while not technically a staff member of the preschool, definitely should be an honorary member. With his talent for the Cricut machine, he has generously made t-shirts for the staff members on various occasions. He is also always willing to lend a helping hand when needed and often does not wait to be asked. Instead, he just offers and does.
This incredible and selfless family who never asks for help and is so involved in our community, deserves all the help we can give. Please donate whatever you can. No amount is too small. Let’s show them the support they have so graciously shown to our children over the years.
