Car Crash Survivor Needs Your Help

My love was in a major car accident, pinned in the car upside down for an hour and suffered a broken neck and as a result is paralyzed from the chest down. This fundraiser is to help with the 19k bid to remodel the bathroom for ADA compliance (crazy high, right?). I have a good portion of it. The only bathroom downstairs in my home has a small shower, however there is a false wall that could be taken out and everything rerouted and the shower could be expanded. This goes against my pride as a man, however many people have amazingly offered their help and support and have suggested we do this because the insurance has stopped her home healthcare as she no longer meets their "criteria". I am the primary caregiver 24/7 as they get things sorted out due to some clerical coding issue. Quotes for an ADA bathroom are out of my reach, but she needs it. I have already bought her a wheelchair $$$ because they said 6-9 months...What?? Everyday supplies are manageable. (Catheter, chucks, wipes, sheets, bed pulls, wound cleaning; I have the shower fixtures, bidet, shower seat, I can purchase the tile and do the demo to bring the cost down ...)This has been a huge life altering event for both of us. Imagine, not being able to control anything below your neck, not even regulate your body temperature or bodily functions. She is one of the strongest people I know and it's so hard seeing her dependent for everything imaginable....Thank you all so very much. You have my absolute gratitude.

The contractors have been working hard to get this done. Plumbing inspector is coming tomorrow! We have to do it by the book...Hopefully wrapping up the first part of next week!! I can't wait either! It's exhausting doing the blow up tub and everything that goes into it....Thank you all so very much!
