Memorial Bench for Twin Creek Resident
Donation protected
On September 3, 2021 our dear friend and Twin Creeks 3 neighbor Irina Vaserfirer passed away after a courageous battle with stage 4 ovarian cancer. A beautiful wife, mother, and friend, Irina inspired many, lived fully, and loved fiercely. While battling the disease and enduring treatment, Irina was actively involved with her Homeowners Association in Twin Creeks and was instrumental in resolving greenbelt maintenance and preservation issues. She also gave selflessly by volunteering at Jewish Family Services, and helped women with a similar diagnosis on a Sharsheret Facebook group. Irina attended yoga with a heartfelt smile and presence and always had a positive attitude. Irina continuously grew spiritually with a fire and passion. Most importantly, she showed up transparent and open hearted at all social functions and found her way into many hearts. She always had a huge smile and friendly wave for everyone while walking the trails and neighborhoods of Allen with her beloved husband Tony and their two sweet dogs. Irina was truly a light in this world, and she will be forever remembered, cherished, and loved.
In her memory, we have been working with the City of Allen to dedicate a park bench adorned with her name. Our hope is that it will be placed by the greenbelt near her home. We’d like her family, friends and neighbors to have the blessing of remembering her as they enjoy the beautiful trails about which she cared so greatly. We are now fundraising to complete this project, and we ask that you please consider donating to help us make this dream a reality.
