Leahs funeral
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
Asking for help to cover headstone and memorial expenses for a beautiful kind little girl who sadly passed away at just 12 years old.
Leah went to a&e complaining of earache, dizziness and just not feeling too good, the doctor told her and her mam Claire she had an ear and throat infection and vertigo and gave them a 5 day course of antibiotics...5 days later Leah was still no better and couldn't walk, eat or even talk in the finish, was just mumbling and all she wanted was sleep. Claire knew something wasn't right so called 999. The ambulance came and took Leah to Durham hospital and they done scans and said she had a cyst behind her ear. She was then put to sleep and rushed to the RVI. After more scans had taken place an abscess was found on Leahs brain and she was rushed down to emergency surgery for several hours where they managed to drain the abscess. A few hours later Leah was then rushed down for more scans as fluid was building above Leahs eye socket, more surgery was done to remove this but the same thing happened again. Leahs mam was then told infection was taking over and she wasnt going to make it and Leahs life support was turned off on the 16/01/2022.
Everything has happened so unexpectedly and quickly, the whole family are in so much shock but it would be great if everyone could pull together to help out this loving family who have just lost their beautiful little princess.

This has come as such a devastating blow to the full family, especially her mam, nana and brothers and sisters. Leah was so loved and noones life will be the same again. I really want to make it possible to give Leahs family somewhere magical to go to remember the memories they shared together.
Thank you so much for all the kindness, love and support shown, we are so grateful for all the donations that have been made.
