3-d printer for Jacob Smilg

Donation protected
On June 29, 2013, at URJ Goldman Union Camp Institute, a summer camp near Indianapolis, Ethan Kadish was teaching a small group of his peers how to play Ultimate Frisbee when a bolt of lightning out of a clear blue sky struck him to the ground. Everything changed for Ethan in that one moment. He suffered a severe brain injury as a result of the lightning strike. For two years, Ethan has been unable to communicate with his family, until now.

Within the past month or so Ethan's close friend, Jacob Smilg, came up with a way to help his friend communicate with his friends and family.

A 3-d printer would help Jacob quickly and cheaply develope customized parts to further improve his device and Ethan's ability to communicate.

The money would go to a purchase of a reconditioned Form 1+ 3-d printer.

Any money beyond the goal would go to either buying a better version of the printer or additional accessories, repair plans, and extra resin.

The holiday season is coming up and let's end this year with a gift to a boy, friendship, family and community that will greatly appreciate it.
