Lynn’s Cancer Recovery

Hi my name is Ethel/Kris,

I'm reaching out to all of my friends. I have never been one to ask anyone for anything nor has my 36 year old daughter who has recently been diagnosed with Stage 2 lung cancer. She has started chemotherapy and it is definitely taking a toll on her and all around her.. She will need all of the financial help possible as her medical will not pay 100% and this is going to be some rough going for a little while. Anything helps. If you cannot donate, please at least share!

Just as some insight into how this was discovered. Lynn was having shortness of breath and chest pains frequently for the last 2-3yrs and it would throw her into panic attacks. She has had multiple ER and dr appt visits trying to get to the bottom of why this was happening. EVERY SINGLE TIME she saw a dr they chalked up her issues as just being anxiety and panic attacks and nothing more than that.

I have the BRCA1 gene which makes me 80% more likely to get breast cancer, ovarian cancer, or pancreatic cancer in my lifetime and it is a hereditary gene so I told Lynn that she should really get tested for it as well. Well she did and she came back as positive for the BRCA1 gene. She then started going for screenings and preparing to have her breasts removed in order to PREVENT ever getting breast cancer. Well during those preventative screenings the drs found a spot on Lynn’s lung which alerted them to do more testing to find out what it is. After having had X-rays, CT scans, MRI’s, and PET scans the surgeon opted to do a biopsy because the spot was very alarming . It came back as cancerous and it has since spread to one of her lymph nodes. Calling it Stage 2 lung cancer at this time. Her oncologist says she is so lucky this has been caught when it has as if she had waited one more year this would have been stage 4!!! Lynn has never been a smoker so this is a complete unexpected shock to us all.

All of her drs have failed her over the past few years by ignoring all of her concerns and complaints . We are just asking that she get as much support and help from her friends and family and even generous strangers so that she does not have to struggle through this time in her life alone . She has an almost 12yr old daughter that needs her to be here for at least another 70yrs. Please donate and/or share. Thank you!!
