Our Mothers recovery

This past week, life took an unexpected and heart-wrenching turn for the Holt Family. On September 8th, our mother woke up with a slight fever and pain in her right side extending from her neck to her shoulder. Concerned for her well being, our father took her to the hospital. After multiple tests, it was revealed she was septic and experiencing blood pressure complications. Further examination revealed that she had a torn rotator cuff and syringomyelia. She was released from the hospital late Tuesday afternoon.

Mom spent most of Wednesday simply resting and recovering from her hospital stay. However, by late afternoon, she had developed a low grade fever and body aches. Around 7:30AM on Thursday, mom woke up realizing that she couldn't roll over or sit up. An ambulance was called, and EMS determined she needed to be flown via Lifestar to the hospital. Soon after being assessed, we learned that mom had experievced a stroke and would need extensive rehabilitation.

We are reaching out for help to cover the mounting cost associated with her care. The financial burden of hospital bills (including Lifestar), monthly bills, food, gas for her upcoming appointments, and our father having to take time off of work is extremely overwhelming.

Every contribution will go directly to alleviating the financial statin on our family and ensuring the care that our mother desperately needs.
