Wheels for Wheels

Hello friends!
My name is Claudia Viveiros. I am starting this GoFundMe today on my 26th birthday, to raise money for my very own accessible vehicle. My wheels would be able to take me to locations I need to go, places where I could master my photography and cruise to my favourite music.
I was born with a very rare genetic bone dysplasia called “Schwartz Jampel Syndrome”. I was born very small, have severe scoliosis and brittle bones. When I was 8 years old, I stopped being able to walk due to the feeling of a sharp shooting pain that started at my hip and made its way down my legs. The cause of the pain was due to hip fractures which unfortunately, with my brittle bones, did not have a good operable outcome. When I was 12 years old, I underwent a necessary 10 hour spinal surgery and had to be bed rested for 6 months so that rods could fuse to my spine. I have been bound to a wheelchair ever since I stopped walking. I have feeling in my leg, but cannot fully extend it or walk.
I am a strong, kind-hearted, creative individual who hasn’t let much stop me in what I strive to achieve. I currently have started up my own photography business MyLevelPhotography.com. Like many other businesses during these times, there are no sales.
I am very blessed to have a supportive family and friends. My family always said I could do anything and my friend Michael helped me by giving me the courage to drive for myself.
I am looking at purchasing my very own first conversion vehicle which would make it easier for me to get around without having to rely on rides or assistance. The vehicle wheelchair conversion cost alone is $40, 000, which is quite the expense! My parents are working hard to match the donations raised to help me with the vehicle purchase portion.
Please, if you are able to help… join me, my family, and friends on my new journey to getting closer to my own independence, by going places in a safe and accessible vehicle. With this help, I will be forever grateful to finally have my own wheels.
