Help Me & My Kids Secure Our Forever Home

The past few years have been a struggle for me and my kids. We’ve bounced from house to house, even spent time in a shelter, and we’ve experienced the pain of being separated. Through it all, I’ve worked hard to create a stable life for us, and now, I’m so close to a breakthrough—a place we can finally call our own.

I've tried agencies and unfortunately there's a wait unfortunately, so I'm reaching out to my wonderful community.

I was recently offered a chance to move into a 3-bedroom apartment at Royal Arms. It’s newly renovated, with brand-new appliances, and it’s ready for us to move into within a week. The apartment manager has even offered to prorate January’s rent and lower the deposit to $600 to help me.

Here’s where I need your help.

Between my current living expenses—paying the person I’m staying with now, phone bills, daycare, and necessities for my kids—I don’t have enough savings to cover the deposit, rent, and the electric connection. Here’s what I need:

• Deposit: $600

• Prorated January Rent: $571

• Electric Connection: About $250

If I can’t raise the funds in time, the manager will have to rent the apartment to another family, and I’ll be back to waiting for weeks for another opportunity like this.

I’ve been trying so hard to make this happen, and I’d hate for this chance to slip away.

Any donation, big or small, will help me and my kids finally have a stable home. I’m asking for a little more than the total amount needed to account for GoFundMe fees and any unexpected costs that come up.
