EPIC Sports, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization that specializes in youth basketball programming, dedicated to developing the skills and interpersonal values of boys and girls throughout New York City. Our goal is to build a diverse community of student athletes who are accountable, selfless and respectful, not only to their chosen sport but the world at large.
Fun and equal opportunity for all, is the very essence of youth sports. Sports builds confidence, character, integrity, and core values that transcend any field of play and life as a whole.
Since our inception in September 2015, over 100 children have participated in EPIC programs such as After-School Classes, Free Basketball Clinics, and Travel Basketball. To accommodate many participants EPIC has instituted a specialized scholarship program to grant a fair opportunity for children who otherwise would not have the means to participate. The program provides 50% of its student body with these benefits, while also giving kids the chance to participate in travel and AAU basketball tournaments throughout the tri-state area.
EPIC relies on the charitable donations to operate and maintain these programs. All funds raised go directly to covering costs such as, tournament fees, equipment, uniforms, transportation and facility usage.
We have created a GoFundMe campaign to accomplish our starting goal of $10,000 to eventually raise the neccessary $50,000 to cover our AAU teams for this spring.
