The lives of many were deeply affected by this compassionate man's death. The family is going through an emotional  and financial crisis after loosing a loving father and husband. 

Avijit Roy from Sacramento, California was a beloved father and husband recently passed away in Mumbai. His family was visiting India to attend a wedding ceremony, when he passed away due to Cardiac Arrest. 
 
Avijit was married to Srabana Roy and had two children; Aurva and Ayona. Aurva will be attending college this year and Ayona still in high school. He was a hard-working individual, who contributed to community in many different forms. He helped foster the creativity of several children via art and music.  Avijit took the responsibility of cooking for hundreds of guests during non profit events. He and his wife also held various  positions in many local non profit. He has had a large impact on the community.

Avijit was the primary breadwinner and after this incident, his family is left without a steady source of income.  We are trying to collect some donations so that his family can have some time to adjust. In order to help support the grieving family, we ask you to donate any money possible. Every penny counts!

The funds will be withdrawn by his wife (Srabana Roy)

The Memorial of Abhijit will be held on  Sunday, August 26 in Sacramento.
