Hope for Lara

Rescuing Lara’s life and treat her critical Scoliosis case

Lara, a 10-year-old little girl, has a childhood highlighted with ten high-risk surgeries.

Lara is in pain and lives with one of the most complicated and critical medical conditions, putting her life at risk if she didn't get the proper treatment in a qualified and well-equipped medical center.

Lara's suffering started when she was diagnosed with an atrial septal defect (holes in the heart). She underwent open-heart surgery when she was only 20 months old.

Lara's misery didn't stop there. During open-heart operation, spinal curvature was discovered (Scoliosis). She underwent complex examinations for a toddler for nine months straight, which led to her first spinal surgery, and the implantation of the first metal rod in her spine.

Due to her growing body, spinal surgery was performed almost every year. That led to implant three metal rods in Lara's back currently.!

Her dad spent his life savings, reaching this far, and due to the current economic crisis in Lebanon, this is Lara's only hope.

Due to the lack of medical resources in Lebanon, Lara's doctor has stated that her situation is getting worse by the day. She may get paralyzed if she doesn't travel to get treated medically.

She needs instant treatment and will require continuous medical care (surgeries, physical therapy, and such) till adult age.

Lara's childhood was never normal. Her time was majorly spent in hospitals and operating rooms. She was never physically able to play sports or to play with her friends.
