Update: April 19th

Tom’s parents are now by his side. He has been gradually taken off the sedatives that were keeping him in a medically induced coma. At this point, he hasn’t shown signs of waking yet, but his care team continues to monitor him closely.

There is some encouraging news. His surgeries for his fractures were successful, and his vital signs are stable, which is a positive step forward.

We know many of you are waiting and hoping for Tom to make a full recovery. Thank you for continuing to support him and his family. Every message, donation, and share truly makes a difference.

Update: April 17th

Doctors have begun attempting to wake him, and there is hope that the brain bleed may not be as severe as originally thought. He is still in a great deal of discomfort, so he remains under heavy sedation while they continue to monitor him closely.

Update: April 16th

We wanted to share a small update on Tom’s condition. Tom has sustained multiple fractures along with a significant head injury. He remains in ICU under an induced coma to help reduce swelling and support his recovery.

April 15th

Our friend Tom was recently in a serious accident while traveling in Australia. He suffered a head injury and is currently in a medically induced coma receiving critical care.

His parents are now making the long trip from British Columbia to be by his side. This has all happened very suddenly, and the cost of last minute travel and staying abroad is a lot for any family to carry.

We are asking for any support you can give to help take some of that pressure off, so they can focus fully on being there for Tom and supporting him through his recovery.

As you all know Tom is strong, and we are all hoping and waiting for him to pull through this. Any donation, no matter the amount, and even just sharing this page, truly means so much.
