Dear Friends,

On Sunday, August 10, 2025, my sister Karen experienced a devastating house fire! Karen, myself (Brenna) and my dog Akua, were all in the house at the time of the fire! We had to quickly escape! But, unfortunately, Karen was caught in the heat of the fire as she tried to save us and her home! She suffered horrific third degree burns! The picture above is HER raw skin turning white! The extensive damage to her home has rendered it uninhabitable for up to a year...

Karen went to the emergency room initially and is now being treated at the Burn Center at the University of Utah. She will have to undergo multiple skin graft surgeries on several parts of her body and spend weeks in the hospital during these painful procedures.

My sister, Karen, is a person who is ALWAYS "there" for her friends...to lend a helping hand or a listening ear! Bring a meal after a medical event or just stop by to bring a smile and some cheer! She ALWAYS puts others first!

Karen did not want me to do a GoFundMe because she has always been self-sufficient and would never ask for help. However, with her homeowner's and medical insurance deductibles, her mortgage payment that she has to continue to pay even though she can't live in her home, replacing items and unforeseen costs, I am asking if you will please help. We are forever grateful for your generosity and prayers! Thank you!
