Help Tara Afford Healthcare

Tara is a non-binary person with PTSD currently staying with two of their friends in a one-bedroom apartment. Due to their declining health and the COVID-19 pandemic, their internet access is the only outlet they have to stay alive.

Tara was born prematurely. They were raised in an abusive home, and escaped to live with my family and me. Now, they are getting the medical help they have been deprived of for more than a decade. With the highly contagious worldwide virus happening, everything has slowed down significantly. Luckily, their medicines are covered by insurance and their food is covered by state programs.

Tara is trying to get on Disability. Qualifying for Disability can take several years. In the meantime, they need to keep their phone functioning for access to their doctors, therapist, and pharmacy, as well as funds for clothing and anything that their medical insurance and state benefits don’t cover. We are trying to hit a goal of $8,000 to cover any unforeseen expenses for the next several years.
