Stepping Up for Mental Health
Mental Health matters. You matter.
On May 27th I'm stepping up for Mental Health. I'll be attempting to set the world record for the highest distance climbed on a stairmaster within a 12-hour period. To do this I'll need to climb 13 vertical kilometers or about 30,000 steps.
I'm stepping up for Mental Health this month with two main goals:
1. To raise money for Mental Health awareness and initiatives facilitated by the CMHA.
2. To do my part in amplifying and continuing the conversation surrounding Mental Health.
I've had many low points in my life when my mental health was in bad shape. I've experienced depressive episodes, panic attacks, and suicidal ideations. Last year my family lost a loved one to depression. I believe experiencing a loss like that is one of the worst things a family can go through. I want to keep encouraging this important conversation in hopes that I could help even one person struggling with their mental health.
I would sincerely appreciate any donations, shares, comments, or words of encouragement. Whatever is most accessible for you. I'm always available to listen or have a conversation. I encourage everyone and anyone to check in with themselves or their loved ones and talk to them about their mental health.
