The Larson's need your help. Recently, my brother and sister in law, Eric and April Larson, received life altering news that their unborn baby boy suffers from a rare disorder called Posterior Urethral Valve Disorder. Posterior Urethral Valve Disorder, PUV, is a rare disorder that affects 1 in 8,000 males. If you're anything like me you're probably wondering what does this mean? In layman's terms PUV is a disorder in the bladder where the urethral valves do not work properly to release urine. This in turn causes urine to collect in the bladder, not good. PUV can also affect the development of other vital organs like the kidneys. Eric and April have received more than one diagnosis for PUV. After much testing and deliberation Eric and April have been presented with the opportunity to travel to Denver, Colorado to see a top specialist in the PUV field. While in Denver they will receive fetal surgery called Fetal Laser Ablation Surgery of the PUV to help correct their baby's rare disorder.
I am reaching out to anyone and everyone to help me fundraise for Eric and April. My brother and sister in law are the type of people that rarely ask for help from others and are quick to jump at chances to help ones in need. They are totally deserving of extra love and support from our community. So let's do everything we can to help! I have created this page so we can help raise money for any costs this surgery may incur. We do not know how much insurance will cover. Also, travel and accommodation from Texas to Colorado is not cheap. I also want to help save a little extra for after Baby Charlie gets here in case he requires any extra medical expenses.
Any little bit we can do for The Larson's and Baby Charlie is much appreciated and valued. Thank you for your time reading about The Larson's story!
