Support Madison's Recovery from an apartment fire
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
I am reaching out today with a heavy heart to share that my daughter Madison recently experienced an unimaginable tragedy: a devastating apartment fire that has left her with nothing but the clothes on her back. On October 14, 2024, her apartment was engulfed in flames and she lost everything that she owned. Thankfully, she and her dog are safe, but the journey to rebuild after such devastation will be long and challenging.
Madison is a senior at Alabama A&M and is set to graduate on December 13, 2024, with a degree in Business Management. Madison has managed to work a part-time job while being a full-time student. She has fought really hard to get where she is despite multiple medical crises and tragedies that she has faced.
On the morning of October 14, 2024, a fire broke out at the apartment complex due to unknown causes. Despite the quick response from the firefighters, her apartment was destroyed, and she lost precious belongings, including her clothing, diabetic medications and supplies, family photos, furniture, and so much more.
I am asking for your support during this incredibly difficult time. I have created this GoFundMe campaign to help her cover the immediate expenses that she is facing:
- Temporary housing costs
- Clothing and personal essentials
- Furniture and household items
- Basic living expenses as she navigate this transition
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in helping her find a place to call home again and recover from this tragedy. Your generosity and support will not go unnoticed and will forever be in our hearts.
Ways You Can Help:
1. Donate: Any amount you can contribute will help her in her recovery.
2. Share: Please share this campaign with your networks to spread the word and help me reach our goal.
3. Support: If you're unable to donate, your prayers and positive thoughts are equally valuable to us during this difficult time.
Thank You:
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has reached out with words of love and encouragement. Your support means the world to us as we begin the slow process of healing and rebuilding. We believe a brighter future is ahead, and with your help, she will get there.
With love and gratitude,
April Dickerson,
Madison’s MOM
